Simple PL259 1/4 wave antenna
Here you go, you’ve got a SO239 antenna mount and you need a quick, cheap antenna.
A picture paints a thousand words as they say!
I had one of those funny PL259 plugs with the screw in adapter bit, handily it had a 6mm hole in it.
I soldered a piece of houshold mains wire in with the insulation removed, obvs.
Pressed in the 6mm polyamide tube to the adapter, nice snug fit!
Bit of head shrink and a plastic cap, hey presto!
Out with the NanoVNR to set it up, brilliant, I used this for months! worked great, it was never going to fall off with a mag mount like that eh!
